This product is repacked in a facility that handles nuts, peanuts, gluten (Including cereals containing gluten), egg, soya, milk and sulphites.
A long-life alternative to fresh cream, the KerryMaid whipping cream is perfect for making ganache. It has a smooth, balanced flavour and is ideal for chocolates that need to be stored for several months. What makes this a long-life cream?
As this is a UHT cream, this means it has been heat treated, thus removing bacteria numbers and reducing the likelihood of microbial growth (the growth of dangerous bacteria). Whereas a standard cream will not have received this treatment and bacteria will begin to grow much earlier once used than if it was UHT.
Best practice
While this is a long life product, there will be a use by date for once you have opened the cream. Once opened, the cream has been exposed to any local bacteria and yeasts in the air and should be used before the once opened date specific on the packaging.
